Be Stealthy For Snook
Report Date: May 12, 2017
Late cold front dirtied up the water a bit but didn't drop the water temperature too much. The redfish bite has been consistent on the incoming to high tide and the high to outgoing. White bait and shrimp has been working under a cork along the shoreline. Snook have been eating well along the mangroves and beaches. A stealthy approach is key - not landing in the pods of fish, but next to them, can improve your chances of a bite! Trout are around in the 17 to 22 inch range. White bait and jigs have been most consistent. Tarpon are slowly pushing up the coast, and will be here for the next few months.
Tight Lines,
